On the last day of filing of Nomination for the 2nd Phase LS poll , that is, for the Inner Parliamentary constituency all together 7 candidates had so far filed their nomination. MPP candidate was yet to submit his nomination at the time of filling this story.
The last date for filing nomination for the candidates of Inner parliamentary Constituency is today. And as the last candidate who filed during the filing of the report was Ex MLA RK Anand who today filed his nomination as a candidate for Inner Constituency from his newly joined North East India Development Party (NEIDP).
The other six inner candidates filed their nomination to the Returning Officer of Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency who was the DC of Imphal West Naorem Pravin yesterday. The six candidates are Dr M Nara of CPI who finished second in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Oinam Nabakishore of Indian National Congress Party, popular actor RK Somorendro alias Kaiku who is an Independent, Dr. RK Ranjan of BJP, G Tonsana of Manipur Democratic People’s Front, S Nandeshore of Rashtriya Janhit Sangarsh Party.
Report reaching here said that MPP had earlier nominated its president Jugindro for fighting the election but today on the last day when he was on his way to file the nomination another person claiming to be MPP candidate do come to file the nomination which instruct the procedure. Till this time none of the two filed nomination.
