IT dept summon private company for depositing Rs. 4,51,000

Imphal, Nov 20: Income Tax Department, Government of India has summoned the owner of a private firm identified as M/S Sitaram Enterprises located at Denzong Cinema Road, Gangtok in East Sikkim to explain the source of Rs. 4,51,000/- which was deposited on November 13, (i.e 5 days after demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomination) to the State bank of Sikkim, Gangtok Main Branch.
In a firmed is ordered to appear before the Deputy Director of Income Tax (Inv), Silguri Unit , Mr. Norbu Bhutia on or before November 25 between 12 pm to 5pm at his office located at Central Revenue Building, Hakimpara Silguri to explain the source of the amount deposited along with the supporting documentary evidence along with statement of accounts along with bills/vouchers or any other documents to explain on how the money come to him.
