As a part of the International Women’s day observance, a group of people today held a discourse on the present problems and discriminations being faced by the women community of the state at Manipur Press Club. The interactive session organized under the initiative of Nandini Thokchom and Ranjana Naoshekpam was attended by several activists, artists, media persons, film makers and students. Main issues discussed are the present status of women in contemporary Manipuri society and also how the media are portraying the conditions of Women. Among those seen attending the session includes Dr. N. Vijayalaksmi, Ramananda Wangkheirakpam, A Dhananjoy, Yumlembam Vijaya, Damudor , Devbratta Roy etc. The session was moderated by Synod, Executive editor Imphal Times moderated the session.
