Irom Chanu Sharmila meets Delhi CM Kejriwal

Imphal, Sept 26: Irom Chanu Sharmila, the AFSPA crusader, who had changed strategy in the struggle for repeal of the draconian act by aborting the longest fast protest today met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the National capital. Sharmila along with women’s activist Shivani Wangkheimayum left Imphal for New Delhi today morning. Earlier Sharmila, had expressed her desires to meet the Delhi Chief Minister who had toppled the then congress government as well as challenged the might of BJP in Delhi Legislative Assembly Election.
As according to report reaching here, Sharmila met Arvind Kejriwal at 2.30 pm today at Delhi Secretariat. The meeting lasted for around 45 minutes. Details of the conversation between the two could not be known at the moment as Shramila declined to give any comment after coming out from the Secretariat. Sharmila will leave Delhi today evening for Chandigarh to attend a International Youth Convention scheduled to hold on September 28 and 29.
