Inter-State youth exchange programme begins in Imphal

The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme organized by MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) Imphal West begins today at the Youth Hostel, Khuman Lampak, with the participation of thirty seven youths from seven districts of Nagaland.
The inaugural programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West Mayanglambam Rajkumar Singh, IAS, as Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that human life broadly follows three phases and stressed that sincere effort and hard work during the early phase are essential to ensure stability and comfort in the later stages of life. He encouraged the participating youths to use the exchange programme as an opportunity for personal growth and mutual learning.
Zonal Education Officer of Wangoi Arambam Anilkumar Singh, MES, also addressed the gathering and urged the participants to actively experience the traditions, culture and food habits of Manipur. He stated that the programme, conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, provides an important platform for youth engagement, national integration and holistic development.
Earlier, MY Bharat District Youth Officer of Tamenglong Chunthuingam Dangmei delivered the welcome address and presented a brief overview of the objectives and activities of the exchange programme. The vote of thanks was proposed by Atom Meghajit Singh, Officer on Special Duty to the State Director of MY Bharat Manipur.
As part of the academic component of the programme, Dr Arambam Noni Singh, Associate Professor at DM College of Arts, delivered a lecture highlighting the history and culture of Manipur.
