Institutional delivery point opened at Aimol Tampak PHSC

With the objective to encourage institutional delivery, Chandel’s Deputy Commissioner Robert Singh Kshetrimayum who is also the Chairman of District Health Society opened a delivery point at Primary Health Sub-Centre (PHSC), Aimol Tampak in Chandel District on Sunday. National Health Mission Chandel’s Planning Convenor H. Kobor and Dr. L. Lakshmibai Devi, Medical Officer of Delivery Points also attended the opening of the Delivery point at the PHSC among others. After opening the new delivery point of the PHC, Deputy Commissioner also inspected the infrastructural facility of the Primary Health Centre. Speaking at the sideline, Robert Singh Kshetrimayum said that the delivery point was opened for encouraging institutional delivery among the villagers. Even though the delivery point was opened the PHSC has only the minimum requirement and lots of works need to be taken up for improving the health centre such as renovation of the building and construction of fencing, added the DC. While assuring to take up necessary action to improve the Health Centre at his capacity, the Deputy Commissioner further said that the success of running the PHSC smoothly does not depend only upon the staff of the health center but it also depends on the co-operation of the local people too. So, the villagers of the surrounding villages should extend support and co-operate with the staff of the centre, appealed the DC.
