‘Indo- IM accord is building monument in dream’

Opposition MLA, Dr I Ibohanbi has stated that the recent peace accord signed between Indian government and NSCN (IM) is ‘building monument of sand in dream’.
The MLA stated this during the foundation stone laying ceremony of a Hostel for SC girls at Leimaram yesterday.
Speaking to media persons, the Ibohanbi said that the agreement is between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) and could not be called an accord for the people of Naga. It could not be attained.
The Centre should not overlook the sentiment of the people of other states when it tries to pacify certain underground group. Thousands of people will come forward to sacrifice their lives if it has an effect on territorial integrity of the state of Manipur, said the MLA.
He also urged the Government of Manipur to take a resolution in this regard during the upcoming Assembly Session.
