Indian Red Cross Society distributes essentials to needy in Thanga AC

The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bishnupur District Branch, distributed blankets, hygiene kits, and other essential items to selected individuals living below the poverty line in Thanga Assembly Constituency today.
The distribution was carried out under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur District, Lourembam Bikram, IAS, who also serves as the President of the IRCS Bishnupur District Branch.
Dr. W. Gulapi, Chairman of the IRCS Bishnupur District Branch, highlighted that the distribution was conducted by the society’s volunteers, following a preparatory meeting at the branch office. The volunteers reached out to various villages in Thanga Assembly Constituency, including Keibul, Khordak, Nongmaikhong, Sendra, Ithing, and Thanga Naching, to deliver the items.
The distributed items were specifically targeted at families facing extreme hardships, including households with minimal resources, widows, and other vulnerable groups.
