Incessant rains in the past few days has rise the water level of almost all the rivers runs in Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal district. Many places in Imphal area were also flooded due to the incessant rain.
Water level of Imphal River, Nambul River and Iril River in Imphal and Thoubal River in Thoubal district area running at danger level. People residing at the bank of Iril and Imphal River fears breached of river bank if the rain continue for another few days.
At Hodam leirak, Thouda Bhabok Leikai, Longjam Leikai , Thiyam leikai and Nagamapal area remain flooded by the rain water as drainage system fails. Even most of the streets at Officer Colony near Sanjenthong area in Imphal East were also flooded by the rain water.
