INC wins in only 5 seats, O Ibobi blames unfair election for the election

Even as the Indian National Congress has fielded 54 candidates in 54 assembly constituencies, the party manage to win only 5 seats. Those seats which the Congress won are Th. Lokeshwar of Khundrakpam AC, Former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi who contested at Thoubal Assembly constituency, his son Okram Surjakumar, Keisham Meghachandra of Wangkhem Assembly.
Talking to reporter, CLP leader Okram Ibobi said that the election conducted was conducted not in a free and fair way and that was the reason for the decrease of the Congress seat.
“There were a lot of Booth capturing in all the assembly constituencies of Hill district using muscle and money power”, Iibobi said. He added that it was a force election conducted to win by the BJP in the most unfair manner.
