“INA and Manipur” released

Commemorating the 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, a book titled INA and Manipur : An Unforgettable Battle for India’s Independence edited by Shukhdeba Sharma Hanjabam and Aheibam Koireng Singh was released today by the Vice Chancellor of Manipur University Prof. Amar Yumanm at the conference Hall of the Department of Commerce , Manipur University.

A penal discussion on the book edited by Sukhdeba and Koireng was also held. The book is a collection of various historical account written by various scholars including Prof. A Lokendro, (Dept. of History MU), Dr. (Lt. Gen Retd) K. Himalaya Singh, Lt. Gen (Retd) L. Nishikant    Singh , War researcher Rajeshwor Yumnam among others.

Speaking on the occasion VC of Manipur University Prof. Amar Yuman elaborated on the importance of 2nd world war in terms of Manipur’s relations with Japan.

INA’s relations with Manipur which created close proximity with Japan was also discussed.
