Imphal, Oct 17: An imposter who collected money from the people promising them Aadhaar Card were today apprehended by staffs of Porompat SDO today morning. The person had been identified as Md Jamir Alam (35) son of Md Moinudin of Minuthong Hapta Mana Ingkhol of Imphal east district.
Speaking to the media person SDO of Imphal East Laishram Delina said that Md Jamir was using her name and identified himself to people as census officer and collected Rs 300 to 1000 from the people by saying he will provided Adhaar card. She further added that he was caught from Lamlong Higher Secondary school while trying to organize awareness programme for Adhaar card distribution on the payment of the said amount..
Later, the person was handed over to Porompat Police.
