South East Asia cultural organisation (SEACO) wishes the people of the state on occasion of Ima Panthoibi Festival. In a press statement SEACO stated that several historical events that had taken place since the time of king Pamheiba has suppressed our indigenous culture of worshiping Ima Panthoibi. The replacement of Ima Panthoibi by worshiping Hindu God Durga has made us dependent on other community’s culture. In order to show that we have our own culture SEACO has been working hard for revival of our indigenous culture by reviving our indigenous deity. And the organisation extended its support to all group organising Ima Panthoibi Festival.
