The Department of Social Welfare Office (DSWO) in Kakching has issued a notification inviting applications for financial assistance under the Ima Nongthangleima Yaipha Tengbang Scheme. This scheme targets women above 40 years of age and aims to provide support during the financial year 2024-2025.
Eligible beneficiaries include widows, divorcees, separated women, deprived and marginalized individuals such as former drug users, single women, single transgender women, and those from low-income households and other marginalized groups.
Applicants must be residents of Manipur, aged above 40, and not beneficiaries of any existing government scheme for individual beneficiaries. They should also be without any source of income or livelihood.
Required documents include Aadhaar as proof of identity, a certification confirming non-beneficiary status issued by designated authorities such as the Panchayat Secretary or Municipal Commissioner, an Unemployment Certificate/Income Certificate from a Gazetted Officer, EPIC/Voter Card or Matriculation Certificate or birth certificate for age verification, Residence Certificate issued by a Gazetted Officer, and a copy of the bank passbook.
Interested applicants can download the application forms from the Social Welfare Department’s website https://socialwelfare.mm.gov.in or obtain them from the Directorate Office near 2nd MR Gate or the District Social Welfare Office in Kakching. Completed forms along with necessary documents must be submitted to DSWO, Kakching on or before March 31, 2024.
