Imphal, May 29: Protest demanding ILPS in the state is once more in the frying pan with the student making no U-turn to their protest.
The women Wing volunteers of the JCILPS Wing today gear up their protest by thronging to the Bungalow of the Chief Minister at around 3 pm. The large number of women confronted the police in front of the CM Bungalow and many protestors sustain injury as police resorted in violent action to disperse them. At around 4 pm students staging protest at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai demanding released of the 2 students arrested in connection with ILPS besides demanding implementation of ILPS came to the road at Keishampat started blocking the road. The police used water cannon to disperse the protestors. but they remained sited braving the police action
Women wing volunteers of the JCILPS and locals of the area too joined the protest and confronted the police for hours.
