Sit-in-protest demanding implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the state continues to stage at various places of the state. Protest were held at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai organised by Peace Lover Youths of Manipur, Langjing Achouba organised by Western Star Club and Women Welfare student and various part of Thoubal and Bishnupur district.
At Khurai Thoidingjam leikai in Imphal East large number of protestors came out in the street and stop all sort of vehicular movement along the route. The same protest was staged Hatta Minuthong, Soibam leikai , Checkon and Porompat area.
Conditions at Imphal West area was somewhat normal as compared to the Imphal East early in the morning. But later in the afternoon ILP supporters shut down Khwairambandh Keithel. Almost all shops and business establishment were also closed down by the supporters.
At Mayang Imphal area too ILP protestors came out at the street and stop all sort of vehicular movement.
On the other hand large number of people came to the residence of PHED Minister I Hemochandra and submitted a memorandum. Speaking to the protestors Hemochandra said that the government was putting all its effort for introduction of the act.
