IFCD employees begin cease work strike

Imphal, July 8: Regular employees of IFCD of the government of Manipur today begin their cease work strike and staged a sit-in-protest in front of the Chief Engineer office of the department at Khuyathong. Speaking to media persons Convenor of the Adhoc Committee of Non Gazette Employees (Plan) IFCD, Manipur said that 552 employees working under plan budget has not been receiving their salary since January this year. The matter had been put up to the notice of the Chief Engineer and no action regarding the demand has been seen taken up. He said the committee will continue the strike until they received a written assurance for clearing the salary from the government.
