A suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was recovered from inside an ATM booth in Mokokchung town Friday. According to official sources, the IED was reportedly found by a CRPF jawan who had gone to the ATM to draw cash Friday around 8.30 a.m. The IED was wrapped inside a packet.
The IED was later removed and disposed off in the presence of the district administration and police around 3 p.m. without any damage to properties.
