IED recovered; 1 UNLF arrested

Troop of 9 AR recovered a remote control IED from KLP junction at Moreh at around 5 pm yesterday. The IED weigh around 2 Kilogram and was planted by underground groups to attack the security force. Earlier, a blast took place in front of the check post of 24 AR at SITA Lamkhai under Tengnoupal Police Station in the same Imphal-Moreh route. Mentioned may be made that all security along the Indo-Myanmar border has been directed to remained alert as the Prime Minister of India is expected to visit the state during the last week of November.  Following the directives security force along the Indo Myanmar border has beefed up security measures.Meanwhile, troops of 24 AR arrested a cadre of UNLF while checking a vehicle at Sita Check post on Sunday.The arrested cadre was identified as  Aheibam Ngouba Meitei alias Bulu, aged 32 yrs, S/o (Late) A Dewan Meitei, resident of Takyel Kolom Leikai under Langjing Police Station in Imphal West. He has been handed over to the Singjamei Police Station
