A bomb suspected to be a remote controlled IED weighing about 5 kg was found at Irol Yotpi Pukhao Laipham, under Sagolmang PS, Imphal East on December 4 at around 3 pm.
According to a source, the 5 kg weighing IED contains 2 kg of RDX, 3 kg of nail and iron ball bearing.
The said IED was found by a Police team of Sagolmang Police Station.
Later the remote controlled IED was safely disposed by a team of Bomb Disposal Squad at the nearby foot hill at round 7.15 pm.
