Imphal, April 8: Troops of 27 Assam Rifles an IED wrapped in a black polythene bag at a culvert inbetween Nungsang Vridge and Ukhrul town at around 10 am.
Report said that the IED was found by the troop on a culvert somewhere around 3 kilometer from Nungsang Bridge towards Ukhrul Town while conductng search opearation along the route and in general area of Hundung cement factory.
The security troops cordoned the area, and the Bomb Disposal Squad team from IGAR(S) safely defuse it.
