Imphal, Dec 4: An Improvise Explosive Device (IED) was triggered this morning near by a paddy field at Konthoujam Laingam village along the National highway 37 between Keithelmanbi and Khumbong.
The powerful blast took place at around 9: 15 am. No human casualty was reported in the blast.
Source said that a convoy of 6 AR was on their way towards the blast site which suggested that the blast is an attempt to attack the troop.
Security forces including state police rushed at the blast site.
