Paying 2 minutes silence tribute to renowned doyen of Manipuri music, drama and literature B Jayantakumar Sharma who passed away on April 9, Hueiyen Lanpao literary award cum short story competition 2015 prized distribution has been held today organized by Huiyen Lanpao Literary Award Committee at the Literary hall of the daily at Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai.
Professor Naorem Khagendra, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University of Culture and Laishram Dhabalo Singh chaired as chief guest and president of today’s award distribution function.
Award which carries a cash prize, citation along with a shawl was presented to I Bashanta by Professor Naorem Khagendra, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University of Culture as Hueiyen Lanpao literary award 2015 along with cash prize award to first, second, third winner of shot story competition 2015 were also distributed including consolation award to five persons.
Later, the award winners present their award winning story to the attained invitees.
