National secretary of the RPI (Athawale) Maheshwar Thounaojam today said that he will not remain quiet or calm to the preplanned attack by the Chin Kuki Narco terrorists on the Meitei people to distort the integrity of Manipur.
“Some of my well-wishers told me to tone down my voice but how can I? When houses of brothers, fathers fellow friends were burnt, and sisters were raped by the Chin Kuki Narco terrorists”, Maheshwar Thounaojam said while speaking to a public meeting held at Singjamei Chingamathak Pishum Hao ground today organized by the Co-ordinating Committee Against the Action of Chin Kuki Narco Terrorist and illegal immigrants.
Maheshwar also called on all political parties and elected members of the Manipur legislative Assembly to unite and stand beyond their political parties for protection of the Manipur’s integrity from the Chin Kuki Narco terrorists. He said that he met the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to apprise him about the real problem faced by the people of Manipur. He said that after highlighting the need to destroy the poppy plantation in the state, the Union Defence Minister had stated that he had ordered for destruction of the Poppy plantation using Air Force.
“I have been outside the state for nearly four months campaigning to protect the integrity of Manipur not at the capacity of being a national secretary of the RPI (Athawale), but as the son of Manipur”, Maheshwar said adding that when he criticized the Prime Minister over his silence to the crisis of Manipur and his sudden concern to a viral video of two women being paraded naked, his national president called him up. Maheshwar said that his president told him to tone down his voice against the Prime Minister, he would have certainly told him that he has quite the political party as Manipur is his priority.
The Politician, who had contested from the Keishamthong Assembly Constituency but was defeated in the last state assembly election said that all politicians, CSOs youths and other Meira Paibi need to be united to voice as one and demand for implementation of NRC, abrogation of Suspension of Operation with the Kuki militants and driving out of the illegal migrants from the state. That time only Manipur will win the war against the narco-terrorists.
In the meeting attended by thousands of people, the Editor of Naharol gi Thoudang Kh Loyalakpa said that he as a journalist has been using pen against all odds which has been trying to distort the integrity of Manipur. Now, we the journalists may also leave the pen and pick up the same others to fight for the motherland.
