Dr. Krishan Kant Paul, the Governor of Manipur has approved the discontinuance of the salutation “His Excellency” while organizing functions within the state.A circular released today by Deputy Secretary to the Governor of Manipur said that the Governor of the state will be addressed as “Hon’ble Governor” instead of “His Excellency” during ceremonial occasions in the state.However, the salutation “His Excellency” will continue in interactions with foreign dignitaries.
