Frequent blasts at the heart of Imphal city amidst the tight security are due to failure of the Home department, said the President, MPP, N. Sobhakiran.
Addressing a press conference today at its head office of Manipur People’s Party near Polo ground, the President said that failure of the government to probe the frequent blasts at Imphal area is shameful and he condemned the powerful blast at Temporary Market Complex on Thursday evening which left three died including a student from DM College and twenty three others injured. Failing to investigate the matter by the Intelligence department means the whole departments held responsible for the blast and hence reshuffle of the ministers are now required, said Sobhakiran. He further said that the matter should be investigated thoroughly from top to bottom.
Speaking about the Swine flu outbreak, the President further said that the government must introduce a preventive measure for the safety of the people.
Sovakiran further said the health department is not taking very serious about tackling the spread of swine flu in the state. he also said that the government did not even conducted mass awareness programme to spread awareness about the spread of the disease.
