Chandel,Sept.16: Holy Cross Catholic Church celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on Saturday at Mongsang Pantha in Chandel. Various events were organised to mark the occasion.
Mongsang Pantha Village was established in the year 1952 the Church celebrated its 60 years of embracing Christianity under the theme “Rejoice in God’s Glory”.
The celebration was graced by Rev. Dominic Lumon, DD.ARCHBISHOP Imphal, Ts.Shelvi Monsang, President Manipur Catholic Women Organization (MCWO) and Fr.Louis Pallikunnel,Vicar General Archbishop’s House Imphal attended as the event Chief Guest, Guest of honour and function President.
A souvenir in commemoration of Holy Cross Catholic Church diamond jubilee was released by Dr Fr.Louis Pallikunnel,Vicar General Archbishop’s House. A jubilant feast marked the occasion.
Village chiefs, Church leaders, Women’s Organization and Youths of its Village attended as the function.
