The hockey India President Gyanendro Ningomban visited at Jiribam District today.
On his maiden visit at the district, the members of All Jiribam Sports Association (AJSA) which is also a constituent District unit of Manipur hockey warmly received him.
On his visit, talking with the media persons of Jiribam Gyanendro Ningombam said, being a hockey India President, it was his first visit to the border district of Manipur.
The main purpose of the visit is to develop and to raise the hockey potentiality in the district, he added.
Gyanendro also said, he felt please looking the budding hockey enthusiastic players of Jiribam.
M. Brajakanta Singh, President, All Jiribam Sports Association said, the sports Association of Jiribam warmly received the hockey India President on his maiden visit.
He added, Jiribam District which is the border district of Manipur lagging much back in the field of games and sports.
The visit of hockey India President to the district might brings new birth in the field of hockey as well as development of hockey infrastructure to the district.
