Hiroshima Day observed

Imphal, Aug 6: Indo-Japan Friendship Association observed the 71ST Hiroshima Day 2016 held at Manipur Press Club today.
During the function, the president of the Indo-Japan Friendship Association W. Bhumeswor Singh said that over 5 thousand city across the world has been observing the Hiroshima Day today in remembrance to the atom bomb blast at Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan. The main reason of today’s observance is to be resolute not to use the nuclear weapon at any form during war.
On the occasion prizes were distributed for children’s peace drawing competition on Hiroshima day 2016.
Mayor of the Imphal Municipal Corporation Soram Sunil Singh and writer Khuraijam Nimai Charan Singh graced the function as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
