High Court Judges visit Relief Camps

Imphal, April 24:

Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul, Justice A. Bimol Singh, Justice A. Guneshwar Sharma, Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu, accompanied by Alek Muivah, Member Secretary of MASLSA, and Officers of the Registry, today inspected relief camps in Imphal West and Imphal East district. The High Court team led by the Chief Justice of Manipur visited Meitei Langol Relief Camp and Akampat Relief Camp.
During the visit, Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul highlighted the government’s efforts to provide necessary assistance to the affected individuals. He emphasized the involvement of a Supreme Court-appointed committee in offering legal aid and assisting the government in relief operations. Recognizing the political nature of the process, he stressed the importance of ensuring that the voices of the affected population are heard and addressed. He further reassured that efforts were being made to cater to the needs of children and elderly individuals among the affected population.
The primary objective of the visit was to assess the situation on the ground, provide support, and ensure that the concerns of the affected population are duly addressed by the authorities.
