Troops of the 24 Assam Rifles apprehended a woman along with 60 gms of heroin (estimated cost Rs 30 lakhs) at Khudengthabi check post on November 26. The woman as apprehended while travelling in a Maruti Van Registration No AS 11 G 1488 and heading towards Imphal. She has been identified as Laisram Bialsini Devi, aged 64 yrs, W/o Late E Boyaima, resident of village – Chainel Leingangeaoi, PO & PS – Kumbi, Dist – Bishnupur. One mobile phone, one voter identity card and cash Rs 1250/- was recovered from her possession. The apprehendee alongwith the recovered items has been handed over to the Narcotic Control Bureau, Imphal.
