Heavy gun attack resume at Bishnupur district

Armed miscreants suspected to be Kuki militants once more started attacking Meitei civilians after a gap of a couple of days in Bishnupur district’s Naransena area today.
Report reaching here said that a farmer who went to look at his paddy field was hit by a bullet fired from the hillside at around 5.30 am today. The farmer reportedly died on the spot. Following the report large number of people rushed to the spot and police who arrived at the scene had a hard time controlling the crowd.
The armed militants who were reportedly taking positions on the hillside continued firing toward the civilian people even after police arrived and the gunshot reportedly continued till the filing of this report. At least 4 persons were injured in today’s attack.
