Health Minister inaugurated Komlathabi PHC

Health and Family Welfare Minister Phungzathang Tonsin inaugurated the newly constructed Primary Health Centre (PHC) of Komlathabi in Chandel District today.
During a formal function held for the occasion at Indoor stadium of Komlathabi Village, Phungzathang Tonsin said that Komlathabi Primary Health Centre is one of the important Health Centre as the Primary Health Centre cover 8 Primary Health Sub Centre (PHSC) of the area. As such, the State Government upgraded it from Primary Health Sub-Centre in 2011 and a sum of Rupees 2 Crores was earmarked for construction of PHC and Quarters building, he added.
However, construction of fencing and Doctors quarters could not be taken up as the state Government sanctioned only one crore due to financial constraints. But the construction works will be taken up soon after the state government release the fund, he added.
Besides assuring to provide an Ambulance for the PHC, the Health Minister also assured to apprise the Chief Minister for releasing fund at the earliest for construction of Medical Staff Quarters and fencing of the Health Centre.
D. Korungthang, MLA 42-Tengnoupal A/C; Robert Singh Keshtrimayum, Deputy Commissioner Chandel and Ibomcha Singh, Director of Health Services and Mission Director, Manipur who graced the Inaugural function as the Functional President and Guests of Honour also spokes during the function.
Chandel CMO Dr.RomiNgoru and Jindasing, Chief of Komlathabi also attended the inaugural function besides officials of State Health Services and District Health Department as well as various Social Organizations leaders and villagers.
