Health camp

A one-day general health camp was organized at Heirok High School, Heirok Part II yesterday by Women Action for Development (WAD) with the support of ECHO and Action Aid. The health camp was organized with the active collaboration of the Community Health Centre (CHC) Heirok with the main objective of addressing the healthcare and general wellbeing of the common people. The camp today targeted the villages of Heirok, Kairembikhok, Salungpham and Wangjing. Altogether 205 villagers, most of them women, received basic health check-up under the camp. Free medicines were also given out to the villagers. During the health camp it was found that the major complaints of those attending the camp were fever, cough, gastrointestinal problems, fungal infection, anxiety, high blood pressure and general fatigue.
