Haoreibi College students’ body decry Principal’s allegations

Imphal, Dec 4: Lilong Haoreibi College Students’ Union condemned the charged on the general Secretary of the union for withdrawing Rs 1.5 lakhs from the college principle in a press statement publish on print and electronic media.
Speaking to the media persons today at Manipur Press Club, Makakmayum Awesh Karmi said that the charge put upon him by principle of the college is baseless and strongly condemned. As per the press statement of the charge against him for withdrawal of 1.5 lakhs from the principle can be proof with evidence, will voluntarily resign from the post of general secretary of the union, he added.
The General Secretary also said that along with some relatives and backing from some people, principle of the college is trying to manipulate the college environment. The press statement was even released by Md Sulpha, who is the current finance secretary of the Union, without the knowledge of the Union General secretary, he added.
The student body also draw the attention of the State Education department to look into the matter while appealing the media houses not to publish any news article issued without the consent of the General secretary of the Union.
