Haobam Nalini wins Sahitya Akademi Award 2025 for Manipuri literature

The Sahitya Akademi has announced the Sahitya Akademi Awards 2025 in 24 Indian languages recognised by the Akademi.
This year, a total of 24 books have been selected for the awards, including eight poetry collections, four novels, six short story collections, two books of essays, one work of literary criticism, one autobiography, and two memoirs.
Each award carries a casket containing an engraved copper plaque, a shawl, and a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000. The awards will be presented to the winners at a special ceremony scheduled to be held on March 31 in New Delhi.
Noted writer Haobam Nalini has won the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award 2025 in the Manipuri language category for the short story collection Kanglamdriba Eephut.
The award for Manipuri literature was decided by a jury comprising H. Nani Kumar Singha, Irungbam Basanta Singh, and Mongsatabam Tuleshwari Devi, who served as jury members for the Sahitya Akademi Awards 2025 for the Manipuri language.
