Guv, Minister greets people on Manipur’s Statehood Day

Governor of Manipur Dr. Najma Heptulla, Ministers and others greets the people of Manipur on occasion of 49th Statehood Day of Manipur.
In her message, the Governor of Manipur wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Statehood Day, 2021.
“It was on this day in 1972 that Manipur became a full-fledged State of the Indian Union. This is an occasion for all of us to introspect on our achievements during the last 49 years. Let us all unite to take Manipur to greater heights of progress and prosperity. Focus should be on every sector to have the desired impact on addressing the needs and aspirations of the people of the State. I wish peace and prosperity to all and hope that our State would achieve all round development for a better tomorrow”, she said.
Minister Th. Biswajit Singh also wish the people on occasion of the day.
“On January 21, 1972, our State attained Statehood, fulfilling a long cherished aspiration of the people. Since attaining Statehood, Manipur has made rapid strides advancing toward development in every aspects keeping pace with the rest of the country”.
“On this year’s celebration let us unite and pledge to work together and bring peace and prosperity in the State. I am certain that each one of us will commit positively to the progress of our beautiful land”, Biswajit said.
