Gunbattle along Indo-Myanmar border leaves at least four KNA-B, PDF cadres dead

At least four cadres belonging to the KNA-B and PDF were reportedly killed in a heavy gunbattle with Manipur-based armed groups along the Indo-Myanmar border in Kamjong district, sources said.
According to the source, the encounter took place near Border Pillar No. 90, in the vicinity of the Kabaw Valley, between Namli and Minda villages. The exchange of fire reportedly began around 5:30 am.
The identities of the deceased cadres are yet to be officially confirmed. Details regarding casualties on the opposing side also remain unclear at the time of filing this report.
Sources further indicated that the clash involved armed groups operating from the Manipur side engaging with what were described as “proxy forces,” allegedly linked to the KNA-B and the People’s Defence Force (PDF). It is suspected that some weapons may have been seized during the confrontation, though this could not be independently verified.
There has been no official statement from security agencies or the government regarding the incident so far.
