Imphal, Oct 22: Unknown miscreants shot 3 rounds of gunshots to the residence of Mutum Manitomba Singh at Lamdeng Khunou under Lamshang Police station in Imphal West yesterday evening around 10 pm. One bullet reportedly penetrated inside the house and hit at the mosquito net where the children the sleeping. Mutum Manitomba (52) is a Field Assistant of the Porompat Diary Farm and his wife Mutum Ongi Ibesana Devi (52 ) is serving as the head mistress of Lamsang Praja High School.
Condemning the attack school students, meira paibi and club members staged a sit-in-protest at Praja High School complex today. Placards defying the attack were displayed in the protest.
Reports said that a grenade explosion took place at the house about one year back damaging an A Star Car parked inside the residential complex.
No. group has owned responsibility for the attack at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile police had registered a case and started investigating the matter.
