GPF payment authorities in Manipur go fully digital

The Office of the Accountant General (A&E), Manipur has introduced complete digitization of General Provident Fund (GPF) Final and Residual Payment Authorities, with the new system coming into effect from April 15, 2026.
A notification issued by Senior Deputy Accountant General (A&E), Manipur, Robert Moirangthem stated that all GPF payment authorities will now be made available exclusively through online platforms, replacing the existing manual and postal-based system.
Under the revised arrangement, GPF subscribers are required to register and access their payment authorities through digital platforms such as DigiLocker, the Online GPF Information System Version 2.0 (OGPFIS 2.0), and the Employee Corner of the Central Management Information System (CMIS). The OGPFIS 2.0 portal is accessible through the official website of the Accountant General, Manipur.
For Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and treasuries, copies of GPF payment authorities will be available only through the OGPFIS 2.0 portal and CMIS. The new system replaces the earlier practice of sending digitally signed copies by post and the physical collection of treasury copies by the Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts.
The office stated that the move is intended to improve administrative efficiency, enable faster access to documents, and minimize dependence on physical paperwork.
Subscribers seeking assistance or further information have been advised to visit the office on designated visiting days or contact the office via email.
