Govt. still not recieved any complaint about police brutality- CS

Chief Secretary of Manipur, PC Lawmkunga today said that the state government has not received any official complaints about police brutality in the state during the last few days. Speaking to Imphal Times at Imphal Tulihal Airport today afternoon PC Lawmkuga said that there are media reports about police committing access, but there are no complaints received by the government till now.
When asked about the media report about two MLAs taking strong exception to the recent violent assault of girl students in front of the secretariat office Imphal, the chief secretary said that he have heard about it through media reports but as of now no complaints has been put up to the government.
Mention may be made that, Congress MLA N Biren and K Ranjit has strongly reacted to the police brutality towards the students in front of the Secretariat office    on Monday afternoon.
The two MLAs were even quoted as saying that they would not remain quite if the officer concern of the Manipur Police is not awarded appropriate punishment.
