Govt orders to exempt school fees during lockdown period

All Manipur Students Union (AMSU) while appreciating the Commissioner of Education (S) for exempting the school fees for student of private schools from April 2020 to June 2020 and payment of only 30% fees from July 2020 to March 2021 , said that fees of those students who are below the poverty line should be exempted as well.

Secretary General of the All Manipur Student’s Union (AMSU) , Bipinchandra Ahanthem while talking to media persons said that exemption of fees during the lockdown called due to COVID -19 pandemic is welcome and payment of 30% for the remaining month till March 2021 is also acceptable, however, for those students who are below the poverty line the government should issue order to let them in without paying the fees. 

The Manipur Government order also stated that the private school teachers, Aided schools teachers and staffs should be paid 50% of their salary from April 2020. Following the government order, the AMSU had announced lifting of the boycott called against the private schools and appealed all schools authority to comply with the government order.
