Imphal, August 5: The Okram Ibobi Singh led Congress government is convening a all political party meeting to appraise the central government for implementation of the Inner Line Permit System in the state.Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh had earlier called upon members of all political parties and representatives of the civili society organisation to jointly work together for giving pressure to the central government for implementation of the Inner Line Permit System.Meanwhile, people of the state continue to staged various forms of protest demanding implemntation of Inner Line Permit System in the state.Sit in protest were staged at variious places inlcuding Thanga Chinglak Bazar, Laphupat Tera, Wangoi Bazar, Laxmi Bazar, Leishangkhong Kabui Community Hall, Thoubal Okram, Charangpat, Kongba Kshetri Leikai, Pukhao, Laipham Khunou, Keibi, Pungdongbam, Sekta, Heingang, Khundrakpam Laibung, Wangoi Bazar, Kshtrigao, Top Khunou and Nongpok Sekmai.On the other hand students of Sishu Nistha Niketan and Tera Model School staged a protest rally for introduction of ILP SYstem in the state at Tera and Kwakeithel bazaar respectively. Both the rally were participated by over 300 students.Womenfolk of Thoubal Khekman also staged a torch rally demanding to re-implement Inner Line Permit System in the state on Monday evening.People who have attended the rally shouted slogans such as “Save indigenous people”, “Restrict entry of outsiders” and “resign non-competent leader” during the rally which was organized by Pioneers Club, Khekman and Khekman Meira Paibi Apunba Lup.Co-convener of JCILPS MD Kheiruddin Shah, who attended the rally expressed dissatisfaction over the inability of the state government to re-implement ILP in Manipur. He further said that it is very unfortunate to implement the system in the state in the presence of three MPs from Manipur in the Parliament.
