Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul District, Joseph Pauline Kamson (IAS) has been issued ‘warning’ in the name of the Governor of Manipur for declaring holiday on 73rd Naga Independence Day celebrated on August 14 , 2019 under the directives of the TSK and NSF by violating the CCS(Conduct) Rules, 1964.
The Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul District in an order dated August 13, 2019 issued through the Assistant Commissioner to him, had served notice for declaration of Holiday on August 14, 2019, in connection with the 73rd Naga Independence Day to the Chief Executive Officer, ADC Ukhrul and Zonal Education Officer, Ukhrul.
The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel Division) of the Government of Manipur on receiving the holiday notice directed the DC Joseph Pauline Kamson to submit his written explanation within 7 days from the receipt of the notice as to why disciplinary action should not be taken up against him for the violation of CCS(Conduct) Rules, 1964 on August 27, 2019. On September 7, 2019, Joseph Pauline Kamson submitted his response which was not satisfactory to the Government. Following that the Governor of Manipur issued a “warning” against him to be careful in handling sensitive issues in future.
