A day after Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired a high-level security meeting at Raj Bhavan, Governor AK Bhalla conducted a another high level review meeting regarding the progress of ongoing national highway projects in Manipur. The meeting focused on assessing the current status of various infrastructure projects and addressing challenges affecting their execution.
M.S. Deval, Executive Director of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), provided a detailed briefing on the construction work underway in different parts of the state. He highlighted key obstacles hampering progress and the need for swift intervention to resolve them.
Governor Bhalla directed officials to implement necessary measures to overcome these challenges and ensure the timely completion of highway projects. He stressed the importance of efficient execution to improve connectivity and economic development in the state.
The meeting was attended by IG CRPF Rajendra Narayan Das, Additional PCCF, and the Secretary of the Manipur Land Resources Department, along with other senior officials.
In a separate event, members of the Red Cross, Senapati District Branch, met Governor Bhalla at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, today. The members apprised the Governor of the key challenges they face while carrying out their humanitarian duties in the region. They highlighted issues such as logistical constraints, resource shortages, and the need for better coordination with local authorities.
Governor Bhalla commended the Red Cross members for their dedicated humanitarian efforts and assured them that their concerns would be addressed. He reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives and enhancing disaster response mechanisms in the state.
