Governor met PWD ministers and officials; relax age criteria and educational qualification for JNMDA

Governor of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey convened a meeting with Govindas Konthoujam, Minister (Works), N. Subhas, Chief Engineer, PWD, Manipur along with some officials of the department today at Raj Bhavan and discussed in length about various developmental activities in the Raj Bhavan premises. The meeting discussed about a number of proposed constructions and renovation of standing vintage buildings and halls in Raj Bhavan premises.
P. Bilash Singh, Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) called on Governor at Raj Bhavan this evening and apprised of the various developmental activities taken up in the Academy. P. Bilash while highlighting the importance of the Academy urged the Governor who is also the Chairperson of the Academy to approve a proposal of relaxation of age criteria and educational qualification of JNMDA’s Foundation and Diploma Courses for the Academic session 2024-25 and onwards.
Governor listened to his suggestions and approved (in-principle) the proposal for relaxation in age criteria and educational qualifications in the interest of budding talents who are trying to enroll to the Academy’s courses.
