Governor meets representatives of Spastic Society and Shiksha Vikash Samiti

Members of the Spastic Society of Manipur met the Governor of Manipur, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, at the Raj Bhavan in Imphal today. During the meeting, they invited the Governor to grace the International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebration, scheduled for December 3, 2024, under the theme “Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future.” The Governor praised their selfless efforts and dedication towards the welfare and development of persons with disabilities and assured them of possible assistance from the Raj Bhavan.
On the other hand, representatives of Shiksha Vikash Samiti, Manipur, also met the Governor to brief him on their initiatives for Internally Displaced Students in the areas of education and healthcare. They informed the Governor that their institution has provided accommodation and education to 72 internally displaced students, including both boys and girls. Commending their noble work, the Governor encouraged them to continue their dedication to supporting education and healthcare for displaced individuals.
