Governor La Ganesan visits Jiribam, District Administration accorded warm reception

The governor of Manipur La. Ganesan visited to Jiribam, the western border district of Manipur today.
On his august visit to the district, he was accorded warm reception by the district administration in presence of Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam W. Malemnganba Chenglei and Superintendent of Police 
A. Ghanashyam Sharma along with other ranks official.
Later an interaction programme of Governor with the representatives of Civil Society Organisations and District Level Officer, Jiribam was held at District Police Multipurpose hall.

At the onset of the programme, Governor was felicitated with the gifts and bouquet by District Administration Officers, leaders of Civil Society Organisations.
The welcome address was delivered by Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam W. Malemnganba Chenglei, In his speech he highlighted about the geographical demography of Jiribam District and  composition of its population by various communities. He also draw the attention of Governor by highlighting various activities of District Administration.
Governor,in his speech appreciated District Administration of Jiribam for achieving 100% covid-19 vaccination. He also said Manipur is included in the railway line map and Jiribam District is the western gateway of Manipur.
He added, Covid is not over yet, recently a new varients of Covid appeared in some states of India, the government is making relentless efforts but the best thing of individual is precautionary and cleanliness, he  said cleanliness is next to godliness.
He added about the benefits of various schemes of government provided as like pradhanmantri  jandan yojana etc. for the economic development of general people through the banks.
He also congratulated the district administration for above 80 percentage literacy rate in the district.
