Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan said the government was making concerted efforts to fulfill public aspirations and ensure inclusive development, while calling for collective efforts to overcome existing challenges.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan programme held at KIYC Turf Ground in Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service.
The MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan highlighted the government’s efforts to ensure that welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries across the country without discrimination. He also referred to initiatives for street vendors and other vulnerable sections of society.
He said the government was making efforts to extend additional assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by the ongoing crisis in Manipur, besides improving infrastructure and public facilities.
The programme was attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh leaders, newly appointed in Charge of Manipur BJP Dr. Rajdeep Roy, Imphal East Deputy Commissioner Nevidita and other dignitaries.
During the programme, wheelchairs were distributed to senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Old-age pensions and other benefits under various government schemes were also provided to eligible beneficiaries of the constituency.
