Government employees to take 3 days mass casual leave

JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO had announced to take three days mass casual leaves from Monday for all the government employee worker of the state as the concerned government authority failed to meet various demands put up the JAC.
Addressing reporters at a press meet held today at Babupara, Secretary General, JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO, Purujit Lairikyengbam said that an MOU has been signed with a list of agreements between the government and the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO on May 19, 2010. The agreements are to replace the new pension scheme by the old scheme, the ad-hoc, master roll, casual and contract employees to be regularised as permanent employees to the available empty posts, to stop privatising various departments, to give the benefits available under 6th central pay commission by implementing a time justified labour law, to implement 7th central pay revision from Jan 01, 2011, the central DA/DR dose given till July 01, 2014 is 107% however it is only 90% in the state, to give away the remaining 10% and 7% airier of the central DA/DR dose, etc.
Purujit added that the JAC had met the Chief Secretary on April 25 regarding the same demands. However, he added that the chief secretary said he couldn’t meet the demands as it is beyond his power. Purujit further said that the demands are for the beneficiaries of all the employee workers of the state and after a general council meeting was held on Sunday it has been resorted to conduct mass casual leaves for three days from tomorrow. He appealed all the pensioners and employee workers of the state to take part in the protest.
